Obituary

Roy Calvin Johnson, Jr. was born May 31, 1936 in Kellyville, OK to the parents, Roy Calvin Johnson, Sr. and Ora Lee (Warren) Johnson.

Roy C. Johnson met and married Freda Johnson and they had two children, Dennis and Debra Johnson.  This marriage later dissolved.  He was married in holy matrimony to Eva Mae Johnson for over 54 years. Their family grew larger.

Calvin as he was affectionately called by his family and friends labored in the construction industry while in Oklahoma.  He matriculated to Rock Island, Illinois where he was employed with John Deer.  After 27 years with John Deer, Calvin retired and moved to St. Charles, Missouri and worked for Clean Tech.  He had the opportunity of a lifetime with Clean Tech working beside his  two younger sons, Reginald and Darren.  He also worked for Albers Manufacturing until their doors closed for good.  Soon after, he moved to Kansas City, Missouri to be closer to his children and grandchildren.  He gained employment with Citywide Cleaning Company for several years, always laboring.

He professed a love for Christ at an early age.  Roy Calvin Johnson was a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ.

Calvin went home to be with the Master, August 28th, 2024.

Those left to cherish his memory include, his wife, Eva Mae Johnson of the home, his children, Dennis (Reseda) Johnson, Conyers, GA: Detra Johnson, Newman GA; Regina Parker, Stephanie Johnson both of Kansas City, MO; Reginald Johnson, Parkville, MO; Darren (Jennifer) Johnson, Kansas City, MO; and Donnie Henry from Moline, IL; 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, his siblings, Henry Johnson, Mesquite, TX; Leon Johnson, Okmulgee, OK; Kerry Johnson, Tulsa, OK; Teresa Matlock and Gloria Ann, both of Pittman OKC, OK; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues and friends that will miss him.

A Graveside Service is scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 2024, 1:00 p.m. Beggs City Cemetery, Beggs, OK.

Visitation will be Saturday 11:00 a.m. until service time.

The family has been cared for by House of Winn- Okmulgee
