Ruby Fisher, 69, homemaker, a resident of Okmulgee, OK; passed away, Friday, November 14, 2014 in Muscogee Creek nation Medical Center, Okmulgee, OK.
On January 12, 1945, Ruby was born to Arthur and Mamie Fisher in Boynton, OK.
She attended public school in Boynton and attended Wheatley High School.
She accepted Christ in her life and united with Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Boynton, OK.
Ruby lived in Okmulgee for a number of years, and was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church, where she served as a usher.
Ruby was always the protective, mother, grandmother, big sister, friend, and as with most families there were issues, but one thing you could be certain and assured, she was most protective of her family. She would be quick to let anyone know how she felt.
Ruby will be truly missed by all whom she loved and loved her.
Preceding her in death, are her mother, Mamie Sanders, six brothers, Ellis Fisher, Glen Fisher, James Fisher, Arthur Fisher, Fredrick Fisher, and Jerry Fisher, one sister, Rose Fisher (Wilson).
She leaves to witness her home-going, her children, Lynette Fisher, OKC, OK; Terry Fisher, Okmulgee, OK; Betty Fisher, Colorado Springs, CO; John Fisher, Okmulgee, OK; three sisters, Clara (Robert) Taylor, Valdosta, GA; Betty Fisher, Muskogee, OK; LaDonna Sanders (Michael Goudeau), Boynton, OK; a brother, Grover (Amy) Fisher, Jacksonville, FL; three aunts, Sarah Cole, Viola Sanders, Yvonne Sanders and Victoria Sanders, grandchildren, Zegonna Haygood, Tammy McMullen, Robert Fisher, Katrina Porter, Darren Williams, Jeremy Anaya, and Brandon Fisher, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A Home Going Celebration will be conducted Saturday, November 22, 2014, 2:00 p.m., in Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Boynton, OK; with Rev. Anthony Folks, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
