In the Fall, on October 17, 1954 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, a precious baby girl was born to John Henry Watkins and Alberta Smith.  They named her Ruthel Watkins

Rudy as she was affectionately called by family and friends attended Okmulgee Public Schools.  She matriculated to Okmulgee Tech and learned various trades.  She was in the custodial department for Okmulgee Public Schools.

She professed a love for Christ at an early age at Church of Christ and  remained a believer until her passing.

Ruthie went home to be with the Lord, March 27, 2025.

Preceding her in death are her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memory, Her 3 remaining brothers and one sister, 2 sons, Lamar Watkins and his 2 sons and a great grandchild and other son, Derrick(Joy)Watkins 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

A Home Going Service is scheduled, Friday, April 4, 2025, 11:00 a.m., St. Matthew Baptist Church, 1001 E. Chicago, Okmulgee, OK; with Bro. Percy West, delivering the eulogy.

Visitation will be Thursday, 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Cremation is the final disposition.
