Sally Marie Lewis was born on February 28, 1942.  Sally was born the 10th child to Felix and Fannie Taylor in Okmulgee County OK.  She attended Hallie Elementary and graduated from Grayson High School.

Sally married her high school sweetheart Jerry Lewis.  To this union two sons were born, Norvell and Marlon. During the early years of marriage, Sally worked alongside her husband as a ranch hand at Cooks Ranch and later remained in the home as a Housewife.  In later life after the death of her husband Jerry, Sally married Walter Benton.

Sally loved beautiful things.  She loved flowers and her collection of beautiful dolls.  She loved to read, had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed eating her dessert with her meal, not after.  One thing everyone knew about Sally is that she was good at dominos.

When Sally's health failed in her latter years, she became a resident of Fountain View Nursing home where she resided until her death.  Sally is preceded in death by her husband Jerry, mother, father, and 10 siblings. She leaves to mourn her passing son Norvell of Grayson, Ok, son Marlon (Beth) of Belton, TX, 9 grandchildren Ronnell, Traci, Alexis, Tajaya, Kiondre, Tianna, Marcus, Marvin, Shelby, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 brother Andrew (Alice) of Raytown, MO and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation and Words of Expression will be rendered Saturday, September 16, 2023, 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. at House of Winn Funeral Home-Okmulgee. Cremation will follow.
