On November 18, 1950, a bouncing baby boy was born to Sam and Katie Burks in England, AR.  They named him Samuel Raypheal Burks, he was the youngest of seven children born to this union.

At the age of six Samuel and his family moved to Kansas City, MO, where he attended Kansas City public schools.  Samuel accepted Christ as his personal Savior and also attended church with his mother.

In Missouri he was know as "Raypheal" and in Oklahoma he was know as "K.C."

As a young adult Samuel liked to "move around",  little did he know in Oklahoma is where he would meet the love of his life, Mrs. Florastene "Doll Baby". They were married January 1, 1987.

After marriage his mother told Florastene that Raypheal liked to move around, so keep a tight reign on him. After eight years, their marriage drifted apart and as the old saying goes, "if you love me, set me free, and if I return, it was meant to be".

On December 13, at 1:09 a.m., the death angel came and said it is time to make one more move to Heaven Boulevard where his mother, father, sister, brother and aunt will welcome him.

Samuel leaves to treasure his memory, his wife of 32 years, Doll of the home, two daughters, five granddaughters, two sisters, two brothers, four sister-in-laws, four brother-in-laws, a special niece, Debbie and nephew, Curtis.

Graveside service will be held Friday, December 21, 2018, 2:00 p.m., Haskell Cemetery, Haskell, OK.
