Obituary

Scoby Argusta "KoKo" Anderson was born on April 14th 1953 to Adam Sr and Ruby Anderson. KoKo was the youngest of six children. He spent part of his youth with his god-grandparents Ennie and Ruth Graham on Tiger Mountain. As well as in Oklahoma City, but later would move to Weleetka, Ok. In his school days KoKo was active in football and track & field. He went to state for Track & Field competing in Shot-put. He graduated from Weleetka High School in 1973.

A few years after graduation he moved to Detroit, MI. Where he met Bernadette Jones in 1977. After sometime KoKo made his way back to Oklahoma. Bernadette would later join him. They were married in 1986, along with welcoming their first child, Christopher. In 1989, they welcomed a second child, Valmarie.

KoKo lead a good and full life. He was always making those around him smile. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

KoKo departed this life on Friday January 8th 2021 at the age of 67. He was preceded in death by his parents Adam Sr and Ruby Anderson, sister Ruby Octavia Johnson, and sister Lethann Virginia (Anderson)Butler.

KoKo leaves to cherish his memory, the mother of his children Bernadette Anderson of Tulsa, Ok, son Christopher Argusta Anderson of Tulsa, Ok, daughter Valmarie Earnstine "Penny" Anderson of Tulsa, Ok, two grandchildren Logan Daniel Anderson and Rubie Elizabeth Anderson. Siblings, Zenobia (Johnny) Staggers of Okmulgee, Ok, Howard "Speedy" Anderson of Weleetka, Ok, Adam "Spikey" Anderson Jr of Hoffman, Ok, Terry (Leloa) Howard Sr of Tulsa, Ok. And a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family and friends, that will miss him dearly.

A Home Going Celebration, will be conducted, Saturday, January 23, 2021  at 2:00 P.M. in Greater Jones Chapel A.M.E. Zion church, 1226 E. Smith St. Okmulgee, OK with Pastor Terry Howard, eulogizing, cremation to follow.  Visitation, Friday, Jan. 22nd  in the Precious Memories Chapel of House of Winn Funeral Home-Okmulgee during the hours of 1:00 P.M. until  5:00 P.M.
