Sherri Brown, age 49, DHS Social worker, transitioned,
Monday, March 16,2015 in OSU Medical Center, Tulsa,OK.
On September 16, 1965, a baby girl was born to Thelma lee Brown and Melvin Smith. She was named Sherri Lynn Brown. On the morning of March 16, 2015, she crossed the Jordan River entering eternal rest. Sherri grew up in Muskogee and joined Rose of Sharon where she served as Youth Minister for several years. Sherri graduated from Muskogee High School, class of 1983. She continued her education at Northeastern State University earning her Master's Degree in Science. Sherri loved helping people and dedicated her life to helping those in need. She worked at the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club. She was employed at Muskogee County DHS as a Child protective Services Specialist at the time of her passing.
Sherri was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Melvin, her brother, Michael Morris and nephew, Corey.
Those who remain to cherish her memories include her brother, Keith (Charo) Brown, sister, Sharen Brown-Terrell, all of Muskogee, OK; nephews, Christian Marshall and Keith Brown, Jr., nieces, Keisha Brown, all of Muskogee, OK; and Maria Morris, Tulsa, OK; one aunt, Anna Barnes, Wichita, KS; cousins, Sheila (Kevin) White, Las Vegas, NV; Marcia Polite, Wichita, KS; Debra Brown, Broken Arrow, OK; and special friend, Kathy West and family, the Rose of Sharon Church family, friends, neighbors and co-workers.
