Sherrie Lee Currin, 67, a retired Home Health Worker and a resident of Boynton, OK; passed away, Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Eastar Health System, Muskogee OK.
Sherrie Lee Bell was born on December 27, 1947 to Raymond and Cordelia Bell in Boynton, OK. She was the second child born to this union.
Sherrie grew up in Boynton, OK; where she attended Wheatley and Boynton Public Schools.
Sherrie accepted Christ at an early age and attended Cherryville Baptist Church in Boynton, OK.
Upon reaching adulthood, Sherrie met and married the love of her life, Lionell Charles Currin. To this union they were blessed with five children, Lionell Currin, Jr., Sheryl Currin Tucker, Franklin Currin, Alfred Currin and Sean Currin.
Sherrie worked many years as a home health provider until her health no longer allowed her to work.
Sherrie's hobbies included cooking for her family, Bingo and watching her great-grandchildren, who she adored.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Bell, Cordelia Hearn, five siblings, Herman Bell, Tyrone Maxwell, Carlton Hearn, Mark Lane and Willie White.
Sherrie leaves to cherish her memoires, her husband, Lionell Currin, of the home, children, Lionell (Tonja) Currin, Tulsa, OK; Sheryl (Jeff) Tucker. Okmulgee, OK; Franklin (Linda) Currin, Alfred (Lumecia) Currin, and Sean (Elizabeth) Currin, all of Tulsa, OK; a loving step-mother, Ella Jean Bell, Tulsa, OK; five brothers, Elvin (Jerlene) Bell, Dallas, TX; CJ Hearn, Raymond (Velma) Bell, all of Tulsa, OK; Raymond Allen, Claremore, OK; and Reese Bell, Haskell, OK; seven sisters, Lois Jean Bell, Wanda Hearn, Vanessa Bell, Tameka Bell, Joyce (Joe) Sheets, Loretta Younger, and Kin Caldwell, all of Tulsa, OK; 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a special niece, Lisa Richardson, and nephew, Brian Rucker, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A service of memory will be conducted, Saturday, January 31, 2015, 1:00 p.m. in Precious Memories Chapel (House of Winn Funeral Home)
Okmulgee, OK
Cremation following the services.
Visitation will be Friday, January 30, 2015, 1:00 - 6:00 p.m.
The family has been cared for by Granger-House of Winn Funeral Home.
