Shirlee Vivian
Leffall
February 12, 1939 – February 9, 2026
Shirlee Vivian Leffall transitioned peacefully on February 9, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on February 12, 1939, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Shirlee was the beloved daughter of Hettie Robinson and Cleveland Howard.
One of two siblings, she was raised in Muskogee, where she attended Manual Training High School. During her school years, she developed a deep love for music. She studied music, played in the marching band, and beautifully played the piano — a gift that brought joy to many.
As a young woman, Shirlee moved to Los Angeles, California, where she later married Raymond Leffall and began building a life centered around love and family.
Shirlee worked as a receptionist and proudly served as a shop steward at Cigna Healthcare System. Through her work, she formed many lifelong friendships and earned the respect of her colleagues for her strength, fairness, and vibrant personality.
She was well known for her love of fashion. Shirlee always dressed impeccably — her hair perfectly coiffed and her nails precisely polished. She carried herself with elegance and confidence wherever she went.
Shirlee was known for her quick wit and colorful language. She could be spicy, sweet, and humorous all at the same time. Her personality was bold, genuine, and unforgettable.
She loved to cook and was especially known for her spaghetti dishes — meals that brought family together and filled her home with warmth.
Shirlee was preceded in death by her parents, Hettie Robinson and Cleveland Howard; her husband, Raymond Leffall; Para Hill; and Johnnie Stiff.
Above all, Shirlee was a loving and devoted mother. She nurtured with strength, loved deeply, and gave generously of herself. She brought joy to everyone she met and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Shirlee is survived by her daughter, Para Leffall, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and cherished friends. Her legacy of resilience, style, humor, generosity, and unconditional love will live on in their hearts forever.
