Shirley Jean Hargrove was born January 11, 1935 in Muskogee, OK; to the proud parents, Robert Looden and Jennet Garland.

She received her education in Muskogee, OK.

Jean met the love of her life and married Lloyd Hargrove, December 4, 1965.  They had three children, David, Billy and LaShon.

Shirley professed a love for Christ at an early age.  She enjoyed watching gospel television while eating her chocolate candy. Shirley also loved garage sales.

Shirley passed away, July 2, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd, her two sons, David and Billy, her sister, Janice Gladney and her brothers, Loomis Boulware and Walter Garland.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her daughter, Lashon, her grandchildren, Savannah Barclow, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, two brothers, Benny Garland and Robert Garland, sister, Kahlua Corbin, daughter in law, Phyllis Crook, special friends, Ann Mariano, Susan (Ray) Harrison, Dee Vann, Kathy Eisermann, Neesha and Debra Hytche, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her.

Graveside Services are scheduled Friday, July 7, 2023, 12:30 pm, Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, 1423 Cemetery Rd., Ft. Gibson, OK; with Rev. Wayne Schuett delivering the message.

Visitation will be Thursday, 12 noon until 5pm

The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Home-Muskogee.
