Sloke J. Clemons Jr. was born, September 9, 1942. The son of Sloke J. Clemons Sr. and Lottie (Macon) Clemons.

Sloke grew up in Muskogee, OK. He attended Sandy Chapel School, Old Agency and Manual Training High School. He left Muskogee and entered the United States Army serving his country for 11 years, receiving an Honorable Discharge.

Sloke married, Patricia Thompson Clemons on March 4, 1994. To this union a son was born, James Clarence Clemons, which was born and died March 31, 1994.

Sloke worked for Unarco for over 20 years, Caterpillar in Chicago, IL and the city of Muskogee.

He was always seeking knowledge and eager to learn. A devoted husband and father, he worked very hard to make sure, his wife was taken of. He had wisdom and questioned everything to seek the truth. He tried to instill his knowledge and wisdom in others.

Preceding him in death, his only son, James Clarence Clemons, his parents, Sloke J. Clemons Sr. and Lottie M. Clemons, brothers, Larry Clemons, Lloyd Clemons, Gary Clemons, Gene Clemons, and Ricky Clemons. Two sisters also preceded him in death, Imogene Clemons and Louise Ivy.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his loving and devoted wife, Patricia, two sisters, JoAnn Brewster and Joyce Sanders, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Graveside rites will be conducted , Wednesday August 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Fort Gibson National cemetery, Chaplain Dr. Forrest Kirk, eulogizing.  Military Honors provided by Ft. Sill Honors team.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in the Chapel, beginning at 11:00 am until 5:00 pm.

No more than 50 mourners in attendance.  Masks are mandatory.
