Reason
August 9, 1959 – May 2, 2026
Stanley T. Reason entered this life on August 9, 1959 in Bristow, OK, to the parents of Joann Reason and Elmer Demery. He is a high school graduate of the Okmulgee High School class of 1978. After graduation, Stanley enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany.
At an early age, Stanley gave his life to Christ and was baptized as a member of First Baptist Church Central. Later as he made the decision to rededicate his life back to the Lord, he joined the St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of his childhood friend, Pastor McKinley Rice.
Stanley was known to his family and friends as "Bo Reem". He will always be remembered for the two things he loved above all things, his family and fishing. Although he always tried to be this tough guy, everyone knew he had a heart of gold. He would fuss and cuss, but at the end, he always gave in.
His Legacy of Love
With his first love, Vicky Deckard, his 1st son, Stanley T. Reason Jr. was born.
His 2rd son, Tielor Pete Han, was born to him and Rosanna Han.
With the one he called "Sweetness", Tiffany Taylor, his 3rd son, Stanvon Taylor was born and honorary daughter, Jacqueline Poole.
His last two sons, Darius and Joseph Reason were born through his union of marriage to Tamrah Deo. He also loved her daughter as his own, Elaina Edwards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Demery and Joann Reason, by three brothers, Joseph Reason, John Perry, and Stevie Perry.
He leaves to cherish his memories his five sons: Stanley Jr.(Krissie), Stanvon (Jennifer), both of Tulsa, OK; Tielor, Darius, and Joseph, and honorary daughters, Jacqueline and Elaina all of Okmulgee, OK; Three sisters, Debra Lewis (J.Ross), Vivian Ward, and Texanna James, one brother, Aaron Perry, and a special cousin , Shelia Martin, and forever sister, Juanita Powell-Oldham, all of Okmulgee, OK. He also leaves, Terry Fisher, a special friend that loved and cared for him. His Demery Family. He also leave 12 grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends that loved him dearly.
He will always be remembered as a loving son, father, papa, brother, and a loyal friend. Though he is no longer with us, his memory and the love he gave will forever remain in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled Saturday, May 9, 2026, 10:00 a.m., St. Matthew Baptist Church, 1001 E. Chicago Street, Okmulgee, OK; with Pastor McKinley Rice, delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Tuskegee Cemetery, Edna, OK.
