Stella Louise
Barnett
June 26, 1952 – September 30, 2021
On June 26, 1952, Jesse Carl and Wilma Lee Manous were blessed with a beautiful baby girl. They named her Stella Louise "Lu Lu" Manous.
Stella spent her early childhood years in Oklahoma City, OK, where she attended Creston Hills School. She later moved to Okmulgee, OK to live with her grandmother. She graduated from Historical Dunbar High School in 1969. Stella furthered her education and graduated from OSU/Okmulgee. Stella accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age. She served the Lord and worked faithfully at Greater Jones Chapel. She served diligently as the church secretary for many years. She loved praising the Lord and worked closely with the youth. Until her health began to fail, she served faithfully in any area that had a need.
Stella met the love of her life, Billie Dale Barnett, and her new life began. She loved gardening, cooking, singing, hunting and fishing with Bill, and playing with her grandchildren and any other children. Stella started her career at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital in the nursing field and retired as a Respiratory Therapist. Her great devotion to children led her to Kids Express Day Care. She worked as a Master Teacher until it's closure.
Stella was the third of thirteen children. On September 30, 2021, she was greeted in heaven by her mother, father, grandmother, five brothers, and one sister.
