Obituary

On May 1, 1954, a precious baby girl was born to Ernest Dee and Dora May Maxwell in Hot Springs, Arkansas. They named her, Susetta.  Her father fondly called her, Sue.

In 1958 the family moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma. She attended public schools and graduated from Moton High School.

Susetta accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.

She enjoyed house cleaning, cooking, fishing, visiting and helping others.

After a long illness, June 23 rd , 2018 the Lord saw it best to call His angel home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charlie Edwards, a sister, Jannie R. Elder, two brothers, Clay Lockford and Ennis Akins and a God sent daughter, Jeanette Edwards.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Charlene Nettie (Cornelious)Williams, 4 granddaughters, Destiny, Raven, Heaven and Angel, 6 sisters, Minister Odessa M. Clark, JoAnn Powell, Janice (Michael) Maxwell, LaDonna (Charles) Maxwell all of Muskogee, OK, Darlene (Jim) Russell, Wagoner, OK; and Annie (Kevin) Harris, Omaha, Nebraska, 1 brother, Ernest (Angela) Maxwell, Jr., Taft, OK; 1 brother-in-law, David Dotson, Muskogee, OK; along with numerous niece, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Service of Memory, will be conducted, Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 12 Noon in the Precious Memories Chapel at House of Winn Funeral Home, 2200 Military Blvd. Muskogee, OK;  with her sister, minister Odessa Clark, eulogizing.  Interment will follow in Ft Gibson National Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The family has been cared for by House of Winn Funeral Homes.
