Timothy Quinn Thompson Sr. was born on December 28, 1966, to Leon Matthew Thompson Sr. and Inez Yvonne Thompson. He was the second oldest child born into this union.
Timothy grew up in the city of Okmulgee, where he received his education. He matriculated throughout the Okmulgee Public School system, where he graduated with the historic Okmulgee High School Class of 1985. He excelled throughout his school education, being listed on the honor roll and receiving many scholars and achievement awards for his academics. Although Timothy had a strong belief in education, sports was his heart. He was very much athletically inclined with Football, Basketball, Track, but his strength came in wrestling, leading the Bulldogs to the State Championship in 1983-1985. Because of his strengths and the skills he demonstrated on the mat; he received the name "Dr.Death."
Timothy married the love of his life, Sandra Kay Shannon, on July 25, 1987. To this union, he was blessed with two children, Timothy Quinn Thompson Jr. and Tiffany Schrell Thompson. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and children. The bond he had with all of them was inseparable. Timothy and Kay spent the day in and day out together. Their love for each other was indescribable. His son is his best friend, and his daughter, whom he called "Rat" were his heart. The laughter he brought to them and the smiles he gave brighten the days for them all.
As many called him, Tim was the second oldest child, but his younger siblings and older brother looked to him as if he was the oldest. He supported them in every activity and decision in life they had made. He enjoyed the yearly holiday gatherings and even the fishing trips that he and his brothers would take every so often. No matter the event or circumstances, he always had an ice chest filled with soda pop, water, and a hot meal to serve with it. He loved spending time with his family, especially all his nieces and nephews; he did his best to support them all, whether it was graduation, birthdays, etc. he had an excellent eye for the outdoors, enjoying his cattle, tractor, farming, horses, cars, and working on his lands; you could always catch him outside during the day, but when the night cometh, he then would intone into some of his television TV shows life-time, westerns, OWN, and sports (Just to name a few).
For over 18 years, Tim worked with the Okmulgee Public School system as a Supervisor over the Janitorial department. He loved working for the schools and having outstanding relationships with the students and staff. He gave each student that he came in contact with special attention, especially the trouble makers. He showed them tough love to push them to their most extraordinary destiny. Because of the love he showed for the students; he wanted to make sure the students had protection. In the spring of 2006, he opened "Big T's Security." The companies' first contract was with the schools, and that was his greatest achievement. Tim and Bit T's security was very involved within the community of Okmulgee. Tim and his security company always overseen the historic Roy LeBlanc Invitational Black Rodeo, The Muskogee Creek Nation Festival, Football Games, Basketball Games, and many family functions.
Having a praying mother, she made sure Tim and his siblings attend church every Sunday in their younger year. He was a member for over 30 plus years of Eastside Church of God In Christ under the leadership of the late Elder O. H. Todd Sr. He later in life became saved under the pastoral leadership of Elder Booker T. Mangum. He was a faithful member; you could always count on him to be in the service with his Sunday's best dressed, a tambourine in his hand, a fan, and candy to share with all. He was very supportive of the church and the Pentecostal District of the Church of God In Christ SouthEast Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.
