"Safe in His Arms".... Vernon Ray Parker Sr., age 68, retired staff at Okmulgee Public Schools, a resident of Okmulgee, OK; slipped the bonds of this earthly realm unto eternity, Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, OK; surrounded by family.

A Home Going service is scheduled Saturday, September 7, 2024, 11:00 a.m., Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1500 N. Miami Ave. Okmulgee, OK; with Dr. Douglas Currington, eulogizing.  Interment will follow in Okmulgee Cemetery, Okmulgee, OK.

Visitation will be Friday September 6, 2024, 1:00 p.m. until  4:00 p.m.

The family has been cared for by House of Winn- Okmulgee.
