STATEMENT
At this time there will be a PRIVATE family burial
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 7, 2020 during the hours of 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Precious Memories Chapel of House of Winn Funeral Home, Muskogee.
Obituary
On July 2, 1931 Viola was born to David and Ada Sanders in Boynton, OK. She attended Wheatley Schools in Boynton. Viola was baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Boynton, OK where she served on the Missionary Board and President of the Usher Board until her health began to decline, although she couldn't be there physically her heart was there.
Viola worked as a home health provider for several years in the Boynton Community showing love and always willing to help others.
On March 29, 2020 Viola or Granny as she was known to everyone closed her eyes for eternal rest. She will be greeted at the Heavenly Gates by those that have gone on before her. Her parents, 6 brothers, 2 sisters, 1 daughter Fayedean and her life long companion and friend Eugene Parker.
Viola or Granny will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Granny was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Left to cherish all her memories are her sisters Yvonne Sanders of Okmulgee, OK and Sarah Sanders of Muskogee, OK, her children Mae Wright of Spencer, OK and Odell Brown (Rose) of Tulsa, OK, a special granddaughter Monica Mason, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and family members.
The family has been cared for by house of Winn Funeral Home, Muskogee.
