Wilma Jean Hall, 60, Muskogee Public Schools paraprofessional , a resident of Muskogee, OK; transitioned into her heavenly home, Monday, November 30, 2015 at Eastar Health System surrounded by family.
Wilma Jean Hall, the second child of Katherine and Henry Hall, Sr. was born May 18, 1955 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Wilma graduated from Muskogee High School with the class of 1973. She furthered her education by also attending Bacone College. She worked for Sears, Roebuck & Co in Muskogee for many years until she moved to Oklahoma City and she lived and worked there for 20 years.
In 2001, she moved back to Muskogee to help her parents during their retirement years.
Once she moved back to Muskogee, she worked for Muskogee Public Schools as a Paraprofessional and the Muskogee Daily Phoenix as a Line Technician. Due to her health issues she retired in September 2015.
Wilma accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized at Mount Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Houston. She continued her membership under the leadership of Rev. J.A. Reed, Sr. where she sang in the Junior and Youth choirs, and was part of the Youth Ministry and Adult Ministry. On her return to Muskogee, she reunited with Loving Mount Calvary under the leadership of her brother, Rev. Gary Hall, Sr. and was an active member of the Usher Ministry.
Wilma Jean Hall departed this life on November 30, 2015, at Eastar Health System, Muskogee, OK; with her family surrounding her.
Wilma was preceded in death by her father, Henry David Hall, Sr. and her older sister, Virginia Hall.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving mother, Katherine Hall, two sons, Derrick Hall and Marvin (Theo) Hardimon III, both of Muskogee, OK; a grandson, Jace Hardimon, Muskogee, OK; two sisters, Laura (Dale) Bell, McKinney, TX; Carmela (Loring) Harkey, Bellevue, NE; two brothers, David (Karen) Hall, Jr., Del City, OK; Gary (Sandra) Hall, Sr., Muskogee, OK; her nieces and nephews, Henry (Jessica) Hall, III, Jasmine (Andrew) Hersey, Teyah Ingram, Cory Bell, Cody Bell, Bethany Hall, Loriana Harkey, Gary Hall, Jr., and Caelon Harkey, two grandnieces, Alexis and Alexandria Current and one grandnephew, Nathan Widder, three aunts, Martha Hall, Los Angeles, CA; Ruth Hall, Tulsa, OK; and Esther Manns, Wichita, KS along with a host of cousins and friends.
A special thank you to our cousin, Leroy Manns who gave great support to the family during her illness.
Wilma loved her family and especially her sons and grandson. She will be greatly missed. We pray that God will keep her in his tender loving care. She is with her father and sister for now, until we meet again.
A Home Going Celebration will be held, Saturday, Dec. 12,2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Mt Calvary Baptist Church, Muskogee, OK; with her brother, Rev. Gary Hall, eulogizing. Interment following in Booker T. Washington Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
