Yolonda (Hutchinson) Walker was born August 23, 1960 to Lawrence Greer and Elinor Hutchinson.

Yolonda affectionately known as Lon, grew up in Boynton where she accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Allen Chapel AME Church.

She began her education at Wheatley Elementary School and continued on with Boynton Public Schools graduating in 1978 as class Valedictorian. Lon went on to earn her Bachelors of Science Degree from Northeastern State University where she graduated with honors in 1982.

Yolonda married the love of her life, Prentice Walker on November 30, 1984 and to this union two children were born, Prentice Jamal Walker and Brittny Janae Walker. Lon was proud with the announcement of her grandson, Kalel Jari James Benn.

She was an extraordinary wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and also a caregiver to the children of her family and friends.
Yolonda was called to make Heaven her home on Thursday, July 9, 2015, surrounded by her husband and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory, her husband, Prentice James Walker, of the home, children, Prentice Jamal Walker, and Brittny Janae Walker, a grandson, Kalel Jari James Benn, all of Oklahoma City, OK; siblings, Leanette Hutchinson, Wendell Hutchinson, Sr., Natalie Hutchinson (Magnus) Scott and Felicia Redmon (Darrell) Buckner along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends .

A Home Going Service will be conducted, Saturday, July 18, 2015, 11:00 a.m., Rayfield Baptist Church, 601 Indianapolis Street, Muskogee, OK; with Rev. Leroy Walker, Sr., eulogizing. The final view will be prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery, Boynton, OK.

Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
