Ann or Annie as she was known by her family was born to Alfreddie and Luvenia Collins. She was the baby of 8 children. Ann attended Westport elementary and graduated from Ceres High School in California. She went on to Modesto Junior College to attend classes. Ann was a Christian woman that loved and served the Lord from early childhood. All she wanted was to make sure her family knew and loved God.

Ann was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking for an army and being surrounded by those she loved. She loved her family.

At 19 she met and married Rufus Johnson and to that union was born Rufus (Jamie) Jr., and Rochelle. Rufus proceeded Ann in death in 1994.

Years later she was blessed to find love again and married the love of her life Nate Burden.

Ann was preceded in death by her son Jamie (Jaime Girl), her loving parents Alfreddie and Luvenia Collins, sisters Luvenia Brown (Sam) and Mary Harris (Cal). Brothers James Simpson (Ruby), David Simpson (Dee), Lovell Ray Collins (Ruth).

She is survived by her loving husband Nate Burden, daughter Rochelle (Obie), grandchildren Kolina, Christian, Sabrea and Amara. Brothers Larry Collins (Ruby) and Louis Simpson (Larene). 3 great grandchildren, Aunt Sydney and many nieces and nephews.

Ann got it right. She developed her own personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and now she has received her eternal reward, Everlasting Life!

A Home Going Service is scheduled Saturday, December 1, 2018, 10:00 a.m., Harvest Ministries Church, 2200 E. Okmulgee Street, Muskogee, OK; with Rev. Gary Hall, eulogizing.  Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery, Tulsa, OK.

Visitation will be Friday, 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
