Mary Rose, age 84, a resident of Okmulgee, Ok. passed away on January 17, 2012, in the Okmulgee Memorial Hospital.
Mary Lee Rose, known to many as "Amary" began to fill the pages of her life on December 24, 1927. Amary was born to James and Mary A. (Relford) Rose in Morris, OK. Amary began working at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital as a dietician. She worked for the hospital for 38 years until she retired. Amary loved her family and friends. She was always excited when you went to visit. She would keep you smiling with her stories and the way she would express her thoughts and then give a little chuckle and smile.
Amary was preceded in death by her parents James and (Mary) Rose, granddaughter Marilyn "NayNay" Manous, brothers Soloman and James Rose II, sisters Opal and Oretha Rose.
Amary leaves to cherish her memories her children: Faye Dixon, Clarence (Barbara) Crawford, Henry (Cris) Thatcher, Michael (Genoa) Rose, Patricia Mason, Rachel Washington, Barbara Cohen, Orzie (Willie Mae) Noble Jr., James (Tracy) Rose III.
Grandchildren: Walter (Arsemma) Lawrence II, Tyeshia Manous, Charlotte Mason, Angela Hoggans, Valarie (Reggie) Casenave, Darren (Donna) Baker, James Baker, Joseph (Martha) Washington, Angie Hicks, Kajuana Crawford, Anita Crawford, Clarence Crawford III, Robert Crawford, Chris Crawford, Yolanda Crawford, Tanisha Rose, James –Michael, James "J.T." Thatcher, Jason Thatcher, Michael Rose Jr., Timothy Rose, Jeffrey Goree and Jake Thatcher.
Amary's home going is truly a celebration of her life. Each day we were blessed with her presence which was a new chapter in her life.
A service of memory will be Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Precious Memories Chapel. Interment will follow in the Northwest Cemetery.
The family has been cared for by the House of Winn Funeral Home.
